I used a range of softwares to help me with my production and coursework alike. The ways in which I utilized them are listed below:
Softwares:
Photoshop
I used Photoshop for resizing the images that I would need to upload on the web (for my coursework)
Premiere Pro
Premiere Pro has always been my go-to software for editing videos, no matter how big or small the file is. I used Premiere Pro to compile, and edit my final movie. I also used the same software to edit my audio, as well as mixing it as opposed to a dedicated software because of my familiarization with it.
MS Paint
Once again, I went old school and used MS Paint to paste my screenshots (evidence) and saving them as JPEG formats so I could upload them on my blog.
Hardware
I used and even diverse range, although the same as my Foundation Portfolio, of Hardware:
Camera
I used a Canon EOS 70D for my movie shooting as well as a little bit of evidence collection.
Lens
I used a Canon EF-S 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6 lens.
Tripod
I used a Hama Star 63 Tripod for all the stationary shots.
Laptop
I used a Dell Inspiron 5558 Laptop with an extended RAM of 16gb, and Nvidia GeForce 920M graphics card (laptop comes with the graphics card installed)
Storage
I used a Seagate 4 TB Backup Plus External Hard Drive, along with my computer's Western Digital 128 GB HDD.
Smartphone
An iPhone 7+ was used to collect evidence and maintain contact with my team
Lights
I used the available lights that I had, my iPhone's flashlight, house lights and lamps etc which is explained in detail in the Production section of this blog.
Online
Gmail
I used Gmail to email my actors and collect their information and maintain contact with my subject teacher.
Google Drive
The Google Drive was used to store my data online, and to transfer files from my iPhone to Laptop or from Laptop to iPhone as opposed to iCloud.com, because the latter takes a while to sync, so Google Drive was the quicker way to go.
Social Media
I used Social Media for a variety of reasons,
Instagram was used to release teasers about my movie so the excitement for the movie would build up:
After this, people started asking me how soon they'd get to see the movie, which meant it worked:
Snapchat was used to get informal feedback from my audience:
WhatsApp was also used to collect feedback:
YouTube
The most important platform, I used YouTube to publish my movie and collect feedback from audience along with screening the movie and the informal feedback over social media.
